Mountain Ash Fly Fishers Association was formed in 1958, our aim is to promote fly-fishing for all. The Association has quality fishing on Penderyn and Ystradfellte reservoirs. Penderyn is a boat and bank fishing water containing wild brown trout and stocked rainbows (in the 2012 season a new record rainbow of 12lb 12oz).

The Association waters encourage the sporting fly-fisher and are not for the 'fishmongers' as catch and release is encouraged and there is a maximum takeable limit of two fish per visit and six per week.

Catch and release is the norm on Ystradfellte.

M.A.F.F.A. is one of Wales leading Fly-fishing clubs and has a strong competition section.

We are proud to have a host of past and present internationals on our roll of honour.
